TALENT SEARCH CHESS TOURNAMENT

In association with Ranga Reddy District Chess Association under the aegis of

 

Andhra Pradesh Chess Association

 

 

 

 

 

Cyber Chess Academy will host the 1st Axis Bank Future Champs Chess Tournament from 4th to 5th June 2011 at Cyber Chess Academy . The tournament is open for boys and girls aged between 05 and 16 years only .

 

 

 

Along with the Future Champs tournament, there is also Cyber Chess Academy Talent Search programme which intends to identify three of the most exciting young players in each of the Boys and Girls groups. Selected players will receive support from Cyber Chess Academy either for participation in tournaments or for training at the academy.

 

A Cyber Chess Academy initiative to unearth local talent as envisioned by International Master & Sr.FIDE ( World Chess Federation) Trainer Lanka Ravi .

 

 


 

DETAILS OF THE TOURNAMENT

 

 

 

1.The tournament is open for boys and girls aged between 05 and 16 years only .

 

2. All entries should reach the Cyber Chess Academy by 3rd June 2011. There will be a maximum of 7 rounds in this tournament.

 

3. Prizes/Trophies will be awarded strictly as per the Age and their age group. No upgrades will be made even if there is no claim for higher/lower prize. Certificates will be issued to all participants. No Cash prizes will be given in this tournament

 

4. For talent search programme qualified Grand Masters/ International Masters will decide the benefits and names.

 

5. Entry Fee for the tournament is Rs.200/- only

 

6. Each participant must produce a valid certificate to prove his/her age. Players without date of birth certificate will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.

 

7. This event will be played under World Chess Federation ( FIDE) Rules and the swiss System.

 

8. SESSION OF PLAY & TIME CONTROL: Time control of 60 minutes each + 30 Seconds increment per move with digital clocks and .

 

 

 

9. TIE BREAK: Latest tie breaking rules will be applied.

 

 

 

10. APPEALS COMMITTEE:

 

Before the commencement of the Championship, a five member committee of Appeal with two reserves shall also be formed by the organizers.

 

11. PROTESTS:

 

Protests, if any, against the decisions of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing at least within 15 minutes of the of the incident with a protest fee of Rs. 500/- which shall be refunded if appeal is upheld. The decision of the appeals committee shall be FINAL and BINDING on all the participants.

Cyber Chess Academy Summer Camps Series

Introduction: Cyber Chess Academy had initiated a New and Novel concept for bringing enthusiastic Chess Players to a learning platform in an effective way. The 1st batch of summer camp 2011 which started on April 7th officially has seen nearly 25 children taking part.

About the Camp: These camps- aimed at bringing chess awareness and reap the benefits in their education also, have been designed by International Master Lanka Ravi.

Concepts taught: how to develop in the Openings, central Principals, various Check Mating Patterns , Interesting Openings, Interesting Cmbinations, Simple relations with Mathematics. These concepts are taught with the help of various Multimedia/ Technical Facilities. Each session will last for three hours and academy is hoping to inculcate scientific learning to the children.

Cyber Chess Academy has the pleasure to announce 2011 Summer Chess Training Camps for Boys and Girls.

The Camp will start from 2nd April 2011 and continue till the end of May 2011. Students will have the liberty to register for any 15 days during this period for the camp.

veracMs. Vera Nebolsina lives in Novosibirsk, Russia and is fluent in English. Her mother Tatiana taught her the basic moves at the age of four and by the time she was twelve years old, Nebolsina was playing the Russian Women's 1st league, a very high standard of competition. There followed her most valuable victory to date, when she won the World Junior Championship for Girls (under 20) at Yerevan in 2007 (aged only 17). This result qualified her for the WGM title; previously, she had become a Woman International Master (WIM) in 2004. Vera has been playing regularly at International Chess. In November 2010, Nebolsina played in the Russian Women Super Final Tournament at Moscow. She has a FIDE rating of 2377.  Her father Valery was a Chess Master and University Teacher. He had played a pivotal role in her chess career. She, practices Chess with Super Grand Master Vladimir Belov who has a rating of 2641!
