Cyber Chess Academy was established on March 11, 2007 in the presence of Super Grand Masters Alexei Dreev of Russia, Krishnan Sasikiran, and a host of many International Masters and Grand Masters. Cyber Chess Academy provides a balanced environment focusing on developing the Chess skills of a Student. We offer comprehensive Chess education through a developmental approach. The Academy has been running for nearly nine years now and we had trained more than 1000 players to become chess players. young people use our training facilities, come along to our training sessions or play in Chess Tournaments. The Academy also has very strong links to the International Top Class Chess players across the world. The Academy has conducted many International/National Level Tournaments. Grand Master Sethuraman wins premier section

Hyderabad (03 Dec 13) :- Chennai based ONGC employee Grandmaster Sethuraman   S P won the premier section of 2nd Hyderabad International Grandmasters Chess Tournment after drawing with Grandmaster Merab Gagunashvili of Georgia in the eleventh and final round that concluded here at  Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Indoor Stadium, Yousufguda today.

Sethu finished with eight and half points out of a possible eleven and finished at tied first along with top seed Ivan Popov of Russia, who defeated Georgian Grandmaster Levan Pantsulaia in the final round.  But better Buchholz tie break score helped Sethu to finish at top while Popov had settle with runner-up position. 

Cyber Chess Academy organised the SBI National Rapid Chess Championship and NMDC National Blitz Chess Championship, under the auspices of the A.P. Chess Association at the sophisticated Jubilee Hills International Centre, Hyderabad from 2nd to 5th June, 2009.  Grand Masters and International Masters participated in this event making it one of  strongest ever national rapid and blitz championships. Grand Master Parimarjan Negi of Air India was top-seeded, followed by the World Cup qualifier Sandipan Chanda of PSPB, who flew in directly from Philippines after the Asian Championship.

Cyber Chess Academy organised NMDC Fide rated chess tournament, at Suchithra Academy, Hyderabad from 21-04-2012 to 27-04-2012.

In the ten round Swiss system, the top seed GM Debashis Das of Orissa had an easy outing against Nihar L Akula of AP. Second seeded IM K Priyadharshan of Tamil Nadu subdued G Dheeraj of AP in no time and former national champion P. Konguvel of ONGC met with little resistance from JC Karthik of the host state.
