When it came to Chess promotion Cyber Chess has moved two steps ahead, but in a humble way.   The recently concluded National 'B' Chess Championship saw 2 Andhra Pradesh Chess Youngsters namely Master Ch. Meher Chinna Reddy and Mr. M. R. Lalit Babu qualifying to the National 'A' Chess Championship.   This is a remarkable feat which went unnoticed.  Mr.Mehar Chinna Reddy is the youngest player from Andhra Pradesh qualifying to National 'A' Chess championship after Mr. Harikrishna at the age of 13.   Mehar Chinna Reddy and M.R.Lalith Babu were badly in need of Laptops for their Chess Tournament preparations.

This is the time when   Cyber Chess Academy, based at Hyderabad swung into action and found a sponsor for his laptop.

Today on 26.07.2007, Shri M. Bhaskar, IPS & Additional Director General of Police (Legal) gave away the Laptop and felicitated Mr. Meher Chinna Reddy and wished him all the best for ensuring Asian chess Tournament and he has extended all the needed support in developing his game.   Mr.Lalith Babu was already handed over his lap top prior to National B Chess. Laptop for Lalith Babu was sent to his home.

Lanka Ravi, Convener Cyber Chess, Ch. Bharati, Mother of Ch. Meher Chinna Reddy and Senior State and National Women Chess Player Mrs. T. Surya Kala and Mrs. Jawahar Laxmi graced the occasion.
